Bakki Shower koi filter, Trickle Tower pond filter

Pond Filter - Trickle Tower- Bakki Shower

This is the most efficient BIOLOGICAL filter you can install on your pond. It is at lest 4 X more efficient than any other filter out there. This filter will get rid of algae! I have worked on a design for many years and this is what I have come up to be the most economically build and yet not compromising efficiency. Your fish will be very happy after a couple of days of use. All you need is a pump, filter media and plumbing connections to the filter and out. Pump has to move the whole amount of water of your pond in an hour through this filter. Filter media can be purchase separately for $50. I have seeded bio balls. You can use any other bio media but I recommend Bio balls. This filter is 48" tall. This filter is good for the pond up to 1000 gallons. If you have bigger pond no problem just add additional filters to the equivalent amount of gallons of your pond.

Explanation of the system.

To filter your pond BIOLOGICALLY you must first have the GOOD bacteria. They develop faster and better where there is a lot of oxygen, and water. The water has all the FOOD that the good bacteria needs to live and colonize, but they also need the oxygen at the same time, so this is where the trickle tower/bakki shower filter comes to play. Pump from your pond brings water to the top of the filter and the water run down and through the bio media( bio balls) that is where the bacteria can hold on to and live on. At the bottom of the filter, a pvc pipe has to be install to let the water fall back into your pond. The constant ( 24/7) running water gives a continuous supply of food for the bacteria that cleans the water. Also returning water to the pond is very oxygenated. Fish Love this.

Hi Artie... It's Mike; I bid on your fine tower $100.00 thanks a bunch!

Author Jason Moore (10 months)
Are you selling these for $100 still? I'd like some more information as to
what's included and what pump is recommended. Do you have a pre filter on
this or does pond water get pumped straight into this?

Author Artur Mak (10 months)
I do still sell these.

Author UcantBeSerious03 (1 year)
Chickenlarry, Pause the video at :11 Where you see the water exiting back
into the pond you want to install a PVC TEE, When that TEE is installed
water will continue to flow through as you see it above. When looking down
you can see the water flowing out the exit. You want to add a piece of PVC
pipe to raise that viewing area a little higher so you can place a bucket
next to it and then just add a PVC 90 elbow. The other item required a PVC
ball valve add that after the Tee where the water exit

Author Artur Mak (10 months)
For $100 you will get only tower. I have this hooked up strait from
skimmer. If hou want superb job of this filter prefilter water and then
dump the water to the tower. The best pump for this is the pump that can
pump 1500-2000 gal./h at 4 feet.

Author stephendraycott (1 year)
How do you get so much water coming out of the outlet what size pump are
you using?

Author Artur Mak (2 years)
Thanks. You are going to be very happy with your purchase.

Author ohkfilms (10 months)
ditto jason, im interested too if you are still selling.

Author UcantBeSerious03 (1 year)
Basically you want to slow the output into the pond but not the flow into
the bakki, a little restriction on the exit and the foam will rise to the
top of the upside down T and exit leaving you with a bucket of black dirty
water (DOCs)= dissolved organic carbons. If you do the mod, post a video of
the foam bellowing out of the exit pipe:) fwiw, you want enough restriction
so you can see bubbles collecting in the T and not up the riser pipe:)

Author UcantBeSerious03 (1 year)
Here is a tip: On the exit of that bakki shower, install a Tee and a ball
valve. You want to aim the Tee vertical and install a riser pipe and a 90
degree and use a catch bucket. With the ball valve regulate the outflow by
closing the ball valve slightly until you can see air bubbles forming at
the tee and not overflowing. This turns the output into a protein skimmer
and it will remove all the suds-bubbles in your pond. The fish will thank
you for it:) Nice job btw!!

Author Larry Satchwell (1 year)
Ucantbeserious- can you please help me visualize what this looks like. You
can respond to my channel- chickenlarry thanks

Author Larry Satchwell (1 year)
Thanks - I think I have it now

Author UcantBeSerious03 (1 year)
You want to use the ball valve to throttle back the flow so water you get a
collection of bubbles in the TEE. You don't want to throttle back a lot to
where water rises above the opening of the TEE. When the bubbles form and
then pop it will continue to push out all the dead mater in the water,
resulting in a bubble free pond. It requires a little tweaking but once its
set, never have to touch it. Also after a few days you may never see foam
come out into the collection bucket. Hope this helps.
