It's amazing seeing this little hillbilly girl doing licks copied by great
guitarists now, she was way ahead of her time.

Author md65000 (2 years)
The way she moves and bobs her head she looks just like Angus Young of
AC/DC! lol

A truly amazing, unique talent...with the best hair in bluegrass! What a
tragedy for music that her career--and life!--were cut short by illness at
such a young age!!

Author Susan Vaughn (1 year)
I used to watch her on the country bouy eddie show right here in Ala. Sfhe
always inspired me.I cant wait to meet her in Glory where the bluegrass
music never ends.

If you are GOOD you can act any way you want! If you are good and good
looking then you can do no wrong! Probably lived more in her short life
than most of us live in three or four of her lifetimes.

Author Denise Pryce (3 years)
The tune that she's pickin is Earl's Breakdown. Great job. She was so early
in her career, and she died so young. RIP.

Wendy Holcombe, the most darlingest entertainer in the world, with the most
beautiful hair a going !!!! from your long lost love (afandan)

I agree..A little bit too tactile lol.

Wendy was a truly talented artist, and moving around was her style. She was
very young when she started, and she loved to pick. Remember when she was
on television so often. She said one time that she would go out and play to
the goats when no one else wanted to hear her.

Author Pickinbuddy (4 years)
Wendy was 20 years ahead of ALL the rest of the female artists in

I guess if she was standing still the whole time everybody would love her
better...she is an expressive and emotional musician and she lights up the
room with her exuberance.

Wendy was an awesome talent! I agree with the last two comments. She was a
pioneer with regard to the banjo, and with other instruments like guitar,
fiddle and others. It's too bad that she was taken away from us in the mid

Turn off your screen and just listen to this. Maybe then you'll evaluate
Wendy's banjo playing skills rather than how bouncy she is or how good her
hair is. Anyone can bounce around or get their hair done, but she was a
great banjo player. That's the part of Wendy Holcombe I admire.

i just discovered an angel. hope you like your new home!

Author Thebanjofellah (3 years)
This girl sure knows how to pic but i seriously can't get over the fact
that she makes a total fool of her self jumping around like that on the
stage. Might be my bluegrass conservatism talkin' but.... She knows how to
pic that banjo though!
